Head of Sales
40 Hours per week
£35,000 – £38,000 per annum
The Role:
The Urban Space and Travel Company Limited operate serviced apartments, apartment hotels, co-working, meeting and event space in Cardiff and the Vale.
We are looking for an amazing Head of Sales that will play an integral role in increasing our local exposure, global offering and ultimately revenues from both the leisure and business travel sectors to support the business growth plan.
You will take the lead to grow local, project-based corporate business and develop the relationships with major travel agents increasing existing accounts together with the development of new accounts by getting out and about, attending networking events and identifying new business. With a great personality and a passion for hospitality you will always be able to offer great options to our clients.
You will deliver the business sales strategy and create an activity sales plan to support the achievement of the budgeted commercial returns.
You are responsible for the leadership of the reservation and sales team to ensure that their performance is at all times to the optimum output with a constant eye on the detail, ensuring that the customer journey from the point of initial enquiry thorough to pre-arrival and post departure courtesy calls meet the required standard and expectations of the guests and the company.
You will be responsible for both strategic and tactical initiatives related to revenue maximization, you will assist with setting the monthly revenue targets, determine pricing, create promotions and explore new distribution opportunities.
Requirements;
- 1 to 2 years in a sales role, ideally in a hotel or customer focused environment
- Experience of effective people management in a team environment
- Pro-active and energetic with a proven track record in achieving sales targets
- Effective communicator to clients and colleagues
- Confident and pro-active
- Be positive and lead by example at all times
- In this role you will be required to travel therefore you must drive. As part of the management team your working pattern will include flexibility with occasional weekends.
